About the event

We are excited to invite you as guest to celebrate “Multicultural Cake Festival Day 2025” which includes Famous Cake Stalls from different community and cultural groups. Victorian Bangladeshi Community Foundation (VBCF) and Northern Grampians Shire Council are celebrating this event together.

This Multicultural Cake Festival event and activities can significantly contribute to a community's recovery and resilience after a fire disaster in Halls Gap by fostering social connections, promoting cultural understanding, and strengthening social capital. These events help individuals and communities heal, reconnect, and build capacity to better prepare for future challenges.

Event Date: Saturday 20 September 2025


Location: Halls Gap Country Plaza Hotel, 141 Grampians Road, Halls Gap VIC 3381

Event Program Schedule:


12:01 pm to 12:30 am: Welcome to the nation and smoke ceremony


12:31 to 01:00 pm: Welcome and guest speech


01.00 pm to 2:00 pm: Multicultural Cake Tasting and Free Lunch


2.00pm till 3.30pm: Multicultural Performance by different bilingual community groups

The objective of this event is to celebrate Multicultural Cake Festival with wider community by engaging bilingual community language schools/organisations/groups in Norther Grampians Shire Council. The event includes featuring cultural cake celebration and performances, free lunch, free kid’s activities and many more by different multicultural community groups.

Western Region Bangla School management also came along incorporating “School Holiday Family Camp” during the same time. Any families can stayover in “Halls Gap Country Plaza Hotel” with a discounted price and enjoy a family camp experience with different activities like family movie, campfire, group dinner, swimming pool, games room, carrom board etc. where students can take the opportunities to build a deeper understanding and friendship among themselves.
