VBCF has been working tirelessly for the betterment of the community and is well established largest most active Bangladeshi Community organization in Victoria. As you are aware that in last few weeks VBCF, in conjunction with the Bangladesh High Commission (“BHC”), Canberra, Melton Travels Centre and a couple of individuals were working together for the repatriation of stranded Bangladeshi nationals in Australia. VBCF and BHC had been communicating with various authorities in Bangladesh and Australia on various aspects of that matter. Bangladesh authorities had agreed to consider a special (charter) flights carrying Bangladeshi citizens back from Australia due to our persistent persuasion. VBCF is delighted to share the experience on arranging this flight and confirming that 157 passengers have now reached in Bangladesh safely.

Victorian Bangladeshi Community Foundation (VBCF) is going to organise a Facebook Live Discussion session with a well-known medical practitioner, Dr Tahjibul Anam, for Bangladeshi communities. The live session will focus on updates related to current Coronavirus situation, common symptoms of COVID-19 and current guidelines by government, safety measures, things to do on suspicion of infection and general discussion.
